One night my hubby comes to me and says, well you've always wanted a corvette, now here's your chance, there's one on ebay and if you want it.. you can have it.. let me know.. goodnight.. and off he goes to bed! I wrestled with the decision... and posted it to facebook.

well I just did something I thought I'd NEVER do... I turned down the offer from my husband to buy a used corvette... yes, even "I" am shocked at this... I must be officially old now... it just isn't practical! I can't afford to insure it or drive it... it was a beauty,, 1978, 77,000 miles on it... black on black... my dream car... and I said... "nah"... where would I put it? ... I think I'll go shoot myself now...

Tracey Sampson-Kaul Take it from me Sandy, I have a 2002 WS6 Transam...found it with less than 600 miles on her...I MAY get to drive her 3 to 4 times per year...not a vet, but close enough..the car in my profile picture...took me 5 years to pay her off...she sits under cover now and half the time, the battery is dead when I want to go anywhere....timing is not right on your part for now...but one day...you never know...

Sandy Blackburn please, I used to have a 72 dodge charger, 400 engine 4bbl holley carburetor... it got gallons per miles instead of miles per gallon... I couldn't afford to put gas in it!

Patricia Curran Remember, you can take it down to parking insurance in the winter and store it. Can't drive these in snowy weather so 4-5 months a year it will be stored. CHEAP insurance for that.

Tad Verret I hotwired mom's Volvo once, there was a wiring diagram in the owners manual(rather thoughtful of them) forgot about that column lock, put the thing right into the ditch in the front yard. Neighbors snitched me out lol

Karla Addington-Smith I drove one. 84' Black, red leather, T Top. BOW WOW license plate, hot pink standard poodle in the passenger seat. I called it the hemorrhoid mobile...really, you felt every pebble on the road. A disgruntled client with a felted cocker keyed it...both sides. Thought I charged him too much to remove the cast from his dog. Your better off without it...really Sandy. You are.
